Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: for three years running the republic takes first place in a contest for best preparation of citizens for military service and conscription organization

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Colonel General Vasily Smirnov at the Kazan Kremlin on May 28.

Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, First Deputy Prime Minister Ravil Muratov, Tatarstan Military Commissioner Sergey Pogodin took part in the meeting.

Greeting the guests, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the reason for the meeting was very pleasant as Tatarstan took first place in the Russian contest for best preparation of citizens for military service, organization and conduct of conscription for three years running.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan takes preparation of citizens for military service very seriously.

Next was the ceremony of awarding the challenge banner of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

Rustam Minnikhanov also received the letter of commendation of the Chairman of the Russian Government and letter of commendation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
