Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has held a meeting of the Council of heads of municipal districts and urban districts

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting of the Council of heads of municipal districts and urban districts of the Republic of Tatarstan on May 28.

The event attended by Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin and Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took place at the Kazan Kremlin

The central issues at the meeting were the reform of the network of state-financed establishments, tariff regulation, the labour market situation and measures to decrease the number of the unemployed as well as attraction of foreign investments in the republican economy.

The Tatarstan President said today it is necessary to focus on efficient use of budgetary funds, particularly at the municipal level.

He also reminded that in the framework of the reform of the network of state-financed establishments it is necessary to reduce internal costs, increase labour efficiency and use of extra-budgetary funds.
