Rafis Burganov appointed Head of RT Ministry of youth affairs, sports and tourism

Head of Tatarstan government Ildar Khalikov presented new Minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism of Republic Tatarstan.

We remind that Marat Bariev has been the head of RT Ministry of youth affairs, sport and tourism for 16 years. Lat week he was appointed to the post of CEO of Russian Olympic Committee.

By words of RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Rafis Burganov has become new head of the ministry in accordance with RT President Edict. Before that Rafis Burganov had been the Chief of Kazan executive committee.

Ildar Khalikov stressed that new post of Marat Bariev at federal level is connected with achievements of Tatarstan in sport sector, including winning of the right to host World universiade 2013.

The ministry’s staff presented to Marat Bariev a silver horseshoe.

Rafis Timerkhanovich Burganov was born on August, 17, 1961 in Muslyumovo settlement, TASSR.

1983 - graduated from Kazan agricultural institute, speciality – mechanical engineer.

1990 - graduated from Kazan institute of economics and finance, speciality – economist

Candidate of economics.

Rafis Burganov worked in scientific production association “Kazankopressormash”.

From 1996 – First deputy head of city.

1998-1999 – First deputy minister of economy and industry of Republic Tatarstan

1999-2005 – Head of Administration of Kazan Vakhitovsky district

2005-2007 - First deputy head of municipal unit Kazan

2007-2008 - Deputy head of Kazan executive committee

2008 - Chief of Kazan executive committee
