Tatarstan President has congratulated Volleyball Club Zenit Kazan on getting the title of the Russian champion

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov received the Volleyball Club Zenit Kazan who won the title of the Russian champion for the third time. The head of the republic congratulated the team on one more champions’ title won in 2009/2010 season.

“Your success is the result of consistent ambitious work of the team’s all players and coaches. Once again you proved that you are the best team in our country,” Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.

He thanked all the team members for their hard work going to that victory and expressed special gratitude to main trainer Vladimir Alekno, the club’s president Rafkat Kantyukov, vice-president Ilkham Rakhmatulllin, Tatarstan minister of internal affairs Asgat Safarov and OAO Gazprom chairman of the board Aleksei Miller for the financial support to the club.

The Tatarstan President also remarked that a good gift to the country’s champions will be the Volleyball Centre the construction of which is to be finished this year adding that the team’s new victories are expected at the Russian and international arena.
