Rustam Minnikhanov meets with major global auto component supplier

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has today met with Knorr Bremse AG supervisory board chairman Heinz Thiele.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today at the house of Government met with the Knorr Bremse AG supervisory board chairman Heinz Thiele.

Other attendees were Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, JSC Kamaz general director Sergei Kogogin and aide to President Iskander Muflikhanov.

The parties discussed issues relating to further cooperation between Knorr Bremse AG and JSC Kamaz, as well as plans pertaining to expanding production.

Knorr Bremse is a large global supplier of brake and steering systems for commercial transport. Knorr Bremse also offers a line of control systems including air suspension and stabilising system. Knorr Bremse is a supplier for all the leading global truck manufacturers.

A Knorr Bremse Kamaz joint venture, producing the Knorr Bremse Kama brake gear, has for a year and a half been active in Naberezhnye Chelny.
