Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov meet in Kazan Kremlin

A working meeting between Prime Minister of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was held in a Kazan Kremlin.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed Chairman of Russian government on results of economic activities for the fist quarter of 2010.

“The volume of industrial produce has increased by 8%, gross regional product 6,5 %, - Rustam Minnikhanov told. By his words petrochemical sector demonstrates growth, but machine building complex lacks behind.

President of Tatarstan noted that stabilization at labor market is being observed. Republic took part in all the federal programs aimed at stabilization of labor market, Rustam Minnikhanov noted. He also informed that program of old cars utilization is very popular among citizens. “We think the program may be applied to utilization of trucks”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov no downturn occurred in agricultural sector during the crisis period.

RT President informed that project of constructing Complex of oil-refining and petrochemical plant (JSC “TANEKO”) in Nizhnekamsk will be launched in autumn as planned.

Preparation for Universiade 2013 has appeared to be a serious support for the republic. It has become a real anti-crisis program.

The republic is paying much attention to developing small and medium-size enterprises. Here creation of industrial sites and elaboration of techno parks play a great role.

Thus, Kama industrial park “Master” at a JSC “KAMAZ” has not cut the number of resident companies. Support of federal centre and our own measures allowed keeping residents of industrial park, Rustam Minnikhanov stated.

President of Tatarstan informed likewise that new joint enterprise of “Fiat” and “Sollers” companies would be located in special economic zone “Alabuga” (the agreement on its creation was signed in presence of Vladimir Putin on February, 11, 2010).

“We are planning not only construction of this plant but also creation of a completing parts for motor industry. Many global companies are ready to cooperate”.
