Tatarstan President launches new power generating unit at modernized heat power station in Nizhnekamsk

On December 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov launched new power generating unit at modernized heat power station in Nizhnekamsk. Director General of OAO “Tatneft” Oil Company Nail Maganov, Director General of AO “TANECO” Leonid Alekhin, and Aide to Tatarstan President Rinat Sabirov took part in the event.

Before the ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the new power generating unit, and was told that it was constructed under large-scale modernization of Nizhnekamsk heat power station. Commission of new facilities will enable producing 350 MW of electricity per year, and meet the needs of TANECO plant. New turbines were designed by Russian specialists using Russian technologies and equipment.

Speaking to employees of the complex, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that major work on modernization of energy systems is carried out in the republic. He thanked all partners, designers and builders who were involved in the project.
