President of Turkey Abdullakh Gul: First large investments of Turkish companies in Tatarstan are especially important in formation of the basis for extended cooperation

President of Turkish republic Abdullakh Gul sent a letter to RT President Rustam Minnikhanov in connection with solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone of new plants of Turkish companies in special economic zone “Alabuga”.

“Your warm hospitality rendered during my visit to friendly Russian Federation and brotherly Republic of Tatarstan on February, 14-15 of 2009 is still alive in my memory. I was so glad to learn that decision about implementation of projects fixed in protocols signed within my visit by JSC "Trakya Cam" (“Sisecam” group) , JSC “Kastamonu Entegre woodworking” (“Hayat holding”), region’s leadership and special economic zone “Alabuga” is being realized”, - is said in the letter.

Mr Abdullakh Gul addressing Rustam Minnikhanov writes: “ An honour rendered by your personal participation in Elabuga on May, 4 in ceremony of laying the foundation stone of objects that will be built by means of investments of our companies is really valuable for my country. Moreover, it shows your support of mentioned projects.

Being the first large investments of Turkish companies in this region they are especially important in formation of the basis for extended cooperation in future.

I sincerely believe that both investment projects will contribute into development of commercial and economic relations between Turkey and Russian Federation and Tatarstan by means of its contribution into region’s economy and creation of conditions for employment. I wish the construction of plants be finished in accordance with plan and be successful”.

President of Turkey Abdullakh Gul also said he was glad that Rustam Minnikhanov would accompany President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev during his visit in Turkey on May, 11-13, 2010.
