Mikhail Babich and Rustam Minnikhanov lay flowers to Eternal Flame in Kazan

On December 9, Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting dedicated to the Heroes of the Motherland Day and laid flowers to Eternal Flame in the Victory Park in Kazan.

Speaking at the event, Mikhail Babich said that the mission of the heroes of the fatherland consists in their heroic deed as well as in showing the love to the Motherland. Young people should know what a great country they live in and what traditions our compatriots created.

Mikhail Babich continued that major efforts are taken today so that Russian citizens will not forget those who gave their lives performing their duty. In particular, military-patriotic clubs, cadet and Suvorov schools and patriotic movements are developing.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Vasil Shaikhraziev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, representatives of state and municipal authorities, public organizations, veterans, young people, and military personnel took part in the event.
