Mintimer Shaimiev meets Klim Lavrentiev

On December 1, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev met first deputy Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, film director and people’s artist of Russia Klim Lavrentiev, who arrived in Kazan to take part in a conference of regional branch of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.

Klim Lavrentiev thanked first president of Tatarstan for long-term support of cinema art in Tatarstan.

Shaimiev told about the history of Kazan international festival of Muslim cinema. They also discussed development of cinematography in the republic, and plan of actions developed by Russian ministry of culture and culture institutions for 2016 that was announced the Year of Russian cinema.
