President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov: our republic will show its dignity in contest of Russian Ministry of defense for the best training for military service and conscription.

Republic of Tatarstan is an innovator region in terms of training the youth for military service and conscription. This was announced today within the framework of meeting with RT President Rustam Minnikhanov by deputy head of headquarters of RF armed forces – chairman of central contest commission of RF Ministry of defense of All-Russian contest for the best training of citizens for military service and conscription organization of draft Sergey Nikolenko.

The contest is being held by results 2009. Tatarstan participates in an event for the fourth time.

Sergey Nikolenko reminded that republic has become the first region to support the idea about development of Russian defense sport-technical organization - ROSTO (DOSAAF) as public-state association.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the contest is a serious state project and an important part for improving defense capability of the country.

Today we see the results of our systematic work while preparing young men for military service and organization of draft, Rustam Minnikhanov said. Work with the youth is a part of military-patriotic education and we have the whole system to realize this goal in republic. This includes creation of cadet schools and classes, support of military schools, Suvorov military school, and development of republican sport-patriotic centre “Patriot”.

Acting Prime minister Ravil Muratov, military commissar of RT Sergey Pogodin, deputy head of RT President office Bulat Zinnurov took part in the meeting.
