Rustam Minnikhanov: We are interested in attracting Luxembourg business to Tatarstan

On November 20, during his trip to Luxembourg (November 19-20), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Chamber of commerce of Luxembourg, and said that the republic is interested in attracting business and capital from Luxembourg and expanding mutually beneficial relations.

Luxembourg businessmen interested in developing and strengthening relations with Russia and its regions took part in Tatarstan-Luxembourg roundtable, where economic and investment potential of the republic was presented.

Director of Chamber of commerce of Luxembourg Carlo Thelen said that Tatarstan and Luxembourg have much in common in financial sector, and noted that Tatarstan is the leading region in IT industry.

Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to Russian and Luxembourg leadership for supporting joint projects. He noted that Tatarstan and Luxembourg have opportunities for developing economic relations in the sphere of innovations and engineering, ICT, financial services, venture investment, Islamic banking, energy sector, automotive industry, logistics, medicine and pharmaceutics.
