Rustam Minnikhanov: Joint efforts of the state and the people is the only way to adequately confront terrorist threats

On November 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a joint meeting of Anti-Terrorist Committee and Coordination meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies of the republic.

The meeting discussed the current situation in the republic, the level of anti-terrorist protection of transport infrastructure, potentially dangerous sites and crowded places.

Minnikhanov gave an errand to develop additional measures to protect these sites and to carry out work to increase citizens’ alertness. "Joint efforts of the state and the people is the only way to adequately confront terrorist threats", he said.

At the end of the meeting it was noted that to date, law enforcement have taken all necessary measures to ensure the security of citizens.
