Agreement on set up of Tatarstan International Investment Company signed in House of RT government

Agreement on set up of Tatarstan International Investment Company has been signed in Kazan, at the House of RT Government. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of group of Islamic Development Bank Mr Akhmad Mukhammad Ali presented at the event.

On the part of Islamic Development Bank the agreement was signed by representatives of group of companies of Islamic Development Bank, on the part of Republic Tatarstan – by RT Investment venture fund and “Directorate of non-budget programs in Kazan”.

Mr Akhmad Mukhammad Ali stressed during the meeting that cooperation between Islamic Development Bank and Tatarstan would enable improvement of relations between Russian Federation and Islamic World.

“Partnership with Tatarstan will be an excellent model of cooperation between Islamic Development Bank and other countries”, - he said.

On finishing the procedure of signing the Agreement, Head of subdivision of Islamic Development Bank on private investment Mr Haled Al Abudi informed journalists that the fist project to be realized by Tatarstan International Investment Company will be foundation of Halal products centre in Kazan. Later on, it is planned to open a special Exhibition centre in a capital of Tatarstan.

Mr Haled Al Abudi also said that the issue of attracting investments would be discussed at II International summit of Islamic finances, which is to be held in Kazan on June, 26-29.
