Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov receives chairman of Turkmenistan Majlis Ms Akdzha Nurberdyeva

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov received Chairman of Turkmenistan Majlis (Parliament) Ms Akdzha Nurberdyeva in House of RT government.

Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have long-term trade, economic and cultural relations.

During the conversation Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan as one of Russian regions are regularly developing. By his words today in Turkmenistan much attention is paid to education, health care and tourism. He emphasized that national tourist zone “Avaza” on Caspian Sea may become a “tourist Mecca” since the quality, price and excellent service are well combined here.

We have to develop our scientific, educational and cultural relations, said Rustam Minnikhanov, because our brotherly peoples need it. He thinks Turkmenistan and Tatarstan are close in language, culture and religion. Joint projects will be successful if they favour the development of economy, he noted and suggested creating joint businesses more actively and increasing commodity circulation between republic and Turkmenistan.

Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded that in February, 2010 plenipotentiary office of Republic Tatarstan was opened in Ashkhabad for the purpose of strengthening economic cooperation and connections in the sphere of science and culture between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.

Prime Minister thanked Turkmenistan Ambassador in Russian Federation for held and consonant assistance.

Chairman of Turkmenistan Majlis (Parliament) Ms Akdzha Nurberdyeva congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on inauguration on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. She assured that Turkmenistan will always take part in joint humanitarian and economic projects with Tatarstan.

Minister of culture, TV and radio broadcasting of Turkmenistan Gulmurad Muradov and RT Minister of culture Zilya Valeeva also attended the meeting.
