Rustam Minnikhanov hands over new buses to Tatarstan youth sports schools

On November 5, at the Kazan city hall, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over keys from 11 buses to representatives of Tatarstan youth sports schools.

It was decided to support sports institutions of the republic so that young sportsmen could take part in competitions and trainings, and in order to upgrade infrastructure of sports schools.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that much has been done for hockey development in recent years, and the 40th ice palace opened not so long ago.

The president stressed that Tatneft Oil Company and Nizhnekamskneftekhim pharmaceutical company render support in this sphere.

President of Tatarstan Hockey Federation Shafagat Takhautdinov handed over certificates for purchasing hockey outfit and equipment to heads of 30 schools. Certificate for 5.3 mln rubles for purchasing hockey outfit and equipment was handed over to Rector of Volga academy of physical culture, sport and tourism Yusup Yakubov.

 Shafagat Takhautdinov and Yusup Yakubov expressed their gratitude to leadership of the republic and President Rustam Minnikhanov for the support.

There are currently 40 ice sports palaces, 29 youth sports schools working in Tatarstan, 665 hockey rinks have been constructed in regions and towns of the republic.
