Tatarstan President discusses construction of exhibition center “KAZAN EXPO” with Director General of Gunda Corporation

On October 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Board Chairman, Director General of Gunda Corporation (Harbin, China) Zhāng Dacheng discussed the construction of exhibition center “KAZAN EXPO” in Kazan, Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Zhāng Dacheng for the shown interest towards the republic and mentioned that the Tatarstan delegation was taking part in Russia-China EXPO.

“We are impressed by Harbin international exhibition center you built. We also heard of Gunda Corporation as a solid multi-business Chinese company,” Tatarstan President said.

He reminded that the construction of a major exhibition center “KAZAN EXPO” had already started in Kazan, and the project became even more important when Kazan won the right to host WorldSkills – 2019.

Minnikhanov offered Zhāng Dacheng to prepare a working group to address the issues of the participation of Chinese corporation in the construction works.

The parties agreed that for financial reasons the exhibition complex should include an entertainment center, a shopping mall, a hotel and other facilities.
