Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: Republic is interested in realizing the project of constructing auto plant Fiat – Sollers

Issues of constructing auto plant Fiat – Sollers and developing park of suppliers of auto components were discussed today in House of RT Government. The meeting was held by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov.

We remind that in February Sollers company and Fiat concern signed Agreement about creation of joint enterprise for producing a number of cars in Russia. Chairman of RF Government Vladimir Putin took part in the ceremony.

At today’s meeting representatives of Fiat concern announced production and design concept of new plant.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov showed interest towards realizing such project on the territory of Tatarstan. He considers it would make possible active development of auto- component base and creation of new automobile cluster. He assured Fiat and Sollers management that Tatarstan leadership would give the utmost support.

Director General of Sollers company Vadim Shvetsov, Director General of “Sollers-Alabuga” Adel Shirinov, Senior Vice-president on business development of Fiat company Silvia Vernetti, Vice-president on business development Ecio Bara, RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov, RT Minister of economy Marat Safiullin, RT Minister of construction, architecture and housing Marat Khusnullin, RT Minister of finances Radik Gaizatullin, RT Minister of labor, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin took part in the meeting.
