Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: Football team “Rubin” is treasure of republic

Football team “Rubin” is treasure of republic, RT Prime Minister, chairman of council of guardians of football team “Rubin” Rustam Minnikhanov said at meeting with footballers. PM answered questions of sportsmen and wished successful performance in current season.

“Rubin” is a treasure of republic, - PM said. – When you became champions of the country, one considered it to be a lucky chance. But still you managed to prove your status!”. Rustam Minnikhanov added likewise that CIS and other friendly countries are supporting the team. He is sure the team will perform properly at competitions 2010.

President of football team “Rubin” Aleksandr Gusev told briefly about season sport results. He considers it had been rather successful for the team. It has become twice champion of the country and successfully performed in champions league. We have to realize all fixed tasks completely, Aleksandr Gusev said. He reminded that “Rubin” plays in league of Europe. On February, 18 the first play with Israel team “Hapoel” will be held in Kazan. Moreover, Aleksandr Gusev said that RT President Mintimer Shaimiev had set a task before footballers to become champions of the country for the third time.

Being chairman of council of trustees of Football team “Rubin” Rustam Minnikhanov presented keys from “Mercedes” bus and two minibuses “Fiat Ducato” to the team.

Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Director General of JSC “Tatenergo” Ilshat Fardiev, Director General of JSC “TAIF” Albert Shigabutdinov and others took part in the meeting.
