Construction of Tatar state puppet theatre “Ekiyat” to be finished in 2010

Head of Tatarstan government Rustam Minnikhanov informed at the end-of-year collegium of RT Ministry of culture that construction of Tatar state puppet theatre “Ekiyat” is planned to be finished in 2010. He also reminded that past year was rather hard financially; republic had to limit realization of some investment projects having preserved the most important defined by RT President Mintimer Shaimiev.

RT Prime Minister stressed likewise that serious measures were taken in the sphere of providing transport for institutions of culture.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov RT Ministry of culture took seriously the question of organization and attraction of people for public works. He reminded that in 2010 the program of public works will be continued. Speaking about staff training in the sphere of culture Prime Minister underlined that Ministry of culture should conduct the work on staff upgrade, experience exchange and organization of trips abroad.

Minister of culture Zilya Valeeva made a key report about activity of the ministry in 2009. “It may seem quite paradoxical but a number of administrative decisions made in the sphere of culture in 2009 at federal and republican levels is an evidence of unprecedented attention in relation to the sphere, - she said. It points to speak about maintenance of positions and set new strategic tasks”.

Zilya Valeeva stressed that for the first time during last years a systematic view of perspectives of developing cultural sector was presented in Russia’s President’s state-of–address. She also reminded that Tatarstan entered the group of four Russian regions where the project of creating RF President’s library affiliate would be implemented.
