Rustam Minnikhanov opens International Field Days exhibition in Volga region
24.06.2015On June 24, in Laishevo region not far from Kazan Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the International Field Days exhibition in Volga region on fields of Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture.
This kind of exhibition is held for the first time in Russia, with more than 150 major companies and scientific institutions, public organizations and associations from Russia and, in particular, Tatarstan, Germany, Austria, France, Finland, Norway and the United States presenting their newest products and technologies in various fields of agricultural complex: crops, farm equipment, livestock.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minnikhanov noted that International Field Days in the Volga region is a great honour for the republic and a good opportunity to get acquainted with the latest information and technologies in the field of agriculture from all over the world.
He thanked representatives of foreign companies, which are determined to establish long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with the republic. Also, Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the exhibition and all the guests who arrived at today's event. He said that this site is very popular in modern conditions and added that many innovative approaches in agriculture, which are now widely used in Russia, were initially tested in Tatarstan.
Then Minnikhanov together with other officials looked around the agricultural exhibition. In particular, he visited the experimental fields, on which different crops and vegetables were presented. Minnikhanov was also told about the achievements in the scientific field, due to which the level of domestic seed production and agricultural productivity will increase in the near future. At the exhibition of agricultural machinery Minnikhanov got acquainted with a new generation of combine harvesters, seeders, tillage equipment, etc.
