Prime minister of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov suggested to hold videoconference with municipalities regarding organization of archiving

In 2010, the work on improving material base of municipal archives in Republic Tatarstan will be continued. This has been stated today at the expanded session of board of the Main archival management at RT Cabinet by head of the RT government Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the work on granting premises to municipal archives, provision with the staff, maintenance of fire-prevention safety and preservation of documents on paper mediums should be held together with municipalities.

«Today it is necessary to involve municipalities in resolving such issues as observance of measures of fire-prevention safety, preservation of documents in archives», - RT Prime minister told. If we fail keep the documentation we will not be able to render obligatory state services for the people, he considers.

Besides Rustam Minnikhanov noted, it is necessary to speed up the work on connection of municipal archives to the Internet (together with the RT Center of information technologies). By today, 11 archives of municipal formations have been connected to the Internet. « It is our drawback, - the RT Prime minister said. - without money this question cannot be solved, but the Government of republic is ready to go on expenses».

First of all, Rustam Minnikhanov suggested to organize and hold the video conference with administrations of municipal formations regarding the organization of archiving and rendering of the state services to the population.

Making comments on offers of the archive managements on increasing staff number, head of the RT government stated, that «simple increase in staff cannot settle the problem, there should be a system approach». In Rustam Minnikhanov's opinion, today it is necessary to pass to an active use of information technologies, rendering of the state services to the population in electronic mode.

Besides RT Prime minister as a provisional measure proposed to organize public works on the basis of archival management. He reminded that in conditions of an economic crisis one of the main tasks - maintenance of employment of the population.

In 2009 Tatarstan has received from the federal budget about 3 billion rbl. on these purposes - creation of workplaces, organization of own business and public works for citizens who are under threat of dismissal.

As a whole RT Prime minister positively characterized the work of the Main archival management under the RT Cabinet.
