Strategy of forestry developing for period up to 2018 considered at RT Cabinet session

The strategy of RT forestry developing for the period up to 2018 was considered at a video conference session of RT Cabinet. It was chaired by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of all municipal regions of republic. Head of Federal forest agency Aleksey Savinov took part in the session. We remind that before the event Aleksey Savinov and Rustam Minnikhanov presented keys from the new fire-fighting and forest patrol vehicles to RT Forest Ministry branches.

Chief of RT Forest Ministry Valery Valsov made a report about activity in the sphere of forestry. He presented for discussion the strategy of forestry developing up to 2018. Its budget makes 6 bln. 315 mln. roubles. Realization of this strategy will enable increasing total area of woodland and volume of tax payments.

Federal forestry agency expertized Strategy of RT forestry developing till 2018 and presented its comments. En bloc, Russian forest management approves new strategy, Aleksey Savinov said.

Summing up, Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov said that strategy is an attempt to systematize our steps in the sphere of forestry development. He also considers that it’s necessary to regulate the work with renters of forest lands. In case the holders don’t maintain their forest areas in proper state, leasing contracts must be dissolved.

Prime minister stressed that we have to invest a forester with proper power and pay special attention to his important work.
