JSC “Tatneft” and bank syndicate headed by WestLB, Unicredit, RBS and “Gazprombank” sign credit contract

Ceremony of signing credit contract for the sum of 1,5 bln. US dollars between JSC “Tatneft” and bank syndicate headed by WestLB, Unicredit, RBS and “Gazprombank” was held today in the RT Cabinet. The document was signed by Director General of JSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov and Co-chairman of structural financing group of bank WestLB AG Mr Kai Henkel.

New credit will help JSC “Tatneft” with financing of constructing oil-refining and petrochemical plants complex in Nizhnekamsk (project “TANEKO”).

WestLB and Unicredit/HVB banks are coordinators, authorized organizers and keepers of application books, RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) and “Gazprombank” - authorized leading organizers and keepers of application books, Nordea, Bank of Moscow, BNP Paribas, VTB Europe, Societe Generale, ING, HELABA, AKBANK - authorized leading organizers; other creditor banks - KFW, First Bank of Nigeria, Erste, Intesa, FIM Bank, PGGM, Russian Commercial Bank (Switzerland).

Besides banks “Vitol” company takes part in credit. It is one of the leading world traders of oil and oil products.

Bank “Zenit” and “Citibank” were financial consultants on credit attraction. Legal consultants – “Cleary Gottlieb” (for JSC “Tatneft”), “Allen and Overy” (for creditors).

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov - chairman of JSC “Tatneft” directors board took part in the ceremony.
