Rustam Minnikhanov: Quality rendering of housing and utility services ensures stability and sustainable development of national economy

On April 8, at a plenary session on development of state-private partnership as a driver of modernization of housing and utilities sector within the framework of the forum “housing and utilities sector 2015” in Kazan, Interim President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that quality rendering of housing and utility services ensures stability and sustainable development of national economy.

Russian Minister of construction, housing and utilities Mikhail Men, Russian Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Sector - Chief state housing inspector Andrei Chibis, Tatarstan First deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, and Tatarstan Minister of construction, housing and utilities Irek Faizullin took part in the session.

The exhibition of heating, heat-exchange, and energy-saving technologies and the presentation of projects of saving energy resources consumption were organized in one of the halls.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the event noting that problems of housing and utilities sector are topical for the republic. Work on capital repair of multi-apartment houses is successfully carried out with the support of Support Fund for the Reform of the Housing and Utilities Sector, he added.
Speaking about modernization of utilities infrastructure Minnikhanov said that 30 billion roubles have been attracted in utilities sector during 2004-2014.

Telling about implementation of information technologies in the industry, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that citizens can pay utility bills via Internet from home on the Portal of state services. He told about creation of the unified information analysis system in housing and utilities sector that will help to provide transparency of targeted use of resources.

Among urgent problems Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out maintenance of communal property and work of housing  managing companies.

Speaking about investing into housing and utilities sector, Mikhail Men said that within the framework of anti-crisis programme of Russian Government, Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities Sector is expecting to receive 4 billion roubles for subsidizing interest rates on credits for people willing to invest into housing and utilities sector.
