Rustam Minnikhanov meets representatives of Tatar community in Bishkek

On March 2, at his meeting with representatives of Tatar community in Bishkek, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov appreciated the contribution of activists of the community to preservation of the Tatar culture and language. He thanked leadership of Kyrgyz Republic for providing favourable conditions for Tatars living in Kyrgyzstan.

Minnikhanov told about projects aimed at uniting Tatars all over the world such as online programme “Ana tele” and a TV channel “TNV-planeta”. He noted that much emphasis is put on the sphere of education and science in Tatarstan. Minnikhanov invited school leavers to study in Kazan.

Participants of the meeting agreed that children from Kyrgyzstan willing to learn Tatar would come to Tatarstan children’s’ summer camps.
