Rustam Minnikhanov: "Kazan should become jeweller center"

The branch of Volga-Vyatsky State inspection of Assay supervision opened in Kazan. RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, first vice-speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Oleg Morozov acting head of Russian state assay chamber Boris Borisov took part in the action.

To data: assay supervision includes approbation, analysis and stamping by state assay brand of the Russian Federation of the jeweller and other household items made of alloys of precious metals, both internal production and imported from abroad for sale, holding expertise of prints of assay brands, examination of precious metals and jewels and products out of them, arbitration and control analyses; examinations of museum and archival values.

Opening of the branch of assay supervision is an indicator that Kazan becomes one of the centers of the jeweller industry development. Till XX century, the capital of republic was the large jeweller center recognized both in the Europe and in Asia. And today, Tatarstan - attractive and perspective region for developing business, especially, jeweller since the ornaments here were made and wearied from time immemorial.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov stated that opening of assay inspection supervision would simplify the work of Tatarstan jewellers and give a push to developing this kind of business in the republic. « Our ancestors were inclined to jeweller art, and now this sort of activity revives », - he noted.

In opinion of head of the RT Government, during "round table" which took place after assay inspection opening, the problems of counterfeit production in jeweller branch and measures of supporting domestic manufacturers were discussed.

«Kazan should become a jeweller center », - Rustam Minnikhanov declared. As he said, this would not happen, if equal conditions for jeweller business be not created legislatively. It is necessary to protect our producers from counterfeit inflow who manufacture qualitative output.
