On February 1, at weekly video conference meeting, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that heads of Tatarstan municipalities should be well-informed about economic situation in their municipalities.

“Economic situation in Russia is challenging, a number of events to happen last year brought about significant consequences. Currently, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation are taking measures to improve the situation. Anti-recession plan is just under elaboration and we should not wait for the measures to be taken by Moscow, we should also work out our own ones”,  Tatarstan President noted, opening the meeting.

Rustam Minnikhanov reported  that the anti-recession office has been established at the premises of Economic Council under Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers. “Such offices are to be organized in every municipality as it is essential to have the full knowledge of the situation at the local level”, he added.

To the point, head of municipalities are tasked to monitor the situation in labour market.

Tatarstan President  summed up that the situation will not change by itself, and we have to deal with the situation.
