Ildar Khalikov: New tasks are set before Tatarstan transport industry in 2015

On January 29, speaking at the summary collegium session of RT Ministry of Transport and Road facilities, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that in 2015 the Tatarstan transport industry will have to cope with important tasks to be set and improve efficiency of work. Head of the Federal Road Agency Roman Starovoit, Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Timerzyanov and heads of enterprises in transport industry took part in the session. 

Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin summarized the results of activity of regional transport complex and set tasks for 2015. “The Ministry will continue developing International airport Kazan and increasing its passenger traffic. The airport is interested in developing domestic travel services, such as to Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk. The programme providing flights to cities of Volga Federal District will be implemented. Mobile check-in service in Kazan airport will be available on the threshold of the XVI World Aquatic Championship. Development of Kazan airport’s infrastructure will be continued. Modernization of Begishevo airport is also to be carried out,” Lenar Safin reported. 

Cargo traffic on railway has been decreased. It is expected that Aeroexpress trains' route will be lengthened, and ticket price will be reduced up to 50 roubles. 

Another important task is provision of transport services during the XVI World Aquatic Championship to be held in Kazan. Struggle with illegal transport operators, hard surface road construction to connect 50 settlements are stipulated in the plan. In 2015 Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistic center to take cargo traffic of Kazan River Port will be commissioned. 

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov summed up that the Ministry will cope with all the tasks in spite of the fact that this year will be difficult for transport industry as well as for economy and  handed in a number of awards to distinguished employees of Tatarstan transport industry.
