Head of Tatarstan government Rustam Minnikhanov called municipal authorities on tough economy of budget funds

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting in the RT Cabinet on issues of implementation of local budgets in 2009 and optimization work under conditions of "falling" income.

All municipal regions took part in videoconference meeting.

Participants also discussed the process of implementing orders of RT President M.Sh.Shaimiev given at the meeting on April,21,2009 and situation at alcohol market of republic.

Opening the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov said that results of budget implementation for 8 months of 2009 leave much to be desired. Notwithstanding the fact, that all necessary measures for stabilization of economic situation are being taken in republic it is necessary to continue working in this area. Tough economy of budget funds, optimization of expenses and active work with non-payers are needed for increasing tax proceeds in budget.

RT Minister of finance Radik Gaizatullin reported on budget implementation for 8 months 2009. Thus, such items as salary, communal payments, and expenses for medical provision have been financed in full.

RT Minister of finance offered municipal authorities conducting optimization measures (to decrease expenses for employees of local self-government bodies, reduce a number of cars used for servicing executive power bodies, decrease expenses for mobile communication, e.t.c.)

On the whole budget deficit in 2010 can make 13 bln. roubles.

RT Minister of economy Marat Safiullin reported on struggle with counterfeit production (including alcohol market).

RT Deputy Minister of industry and trade Oleg Vlasov told about measures taken for suppression of illegal turnover of alcohol production in Tatarstan.
