Development of shooting sport in Tatarstan must transcend to a new level

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov and President of Russian shooting union, President of European shooting confederation Vladimir Lisin discussed perspectives of developing shooting sport in Tatarstan. The meeting was held in the House of RT government.

We remind that Vladimir Lisin arrived in Tatarstan to take part in opening of Russian trap shooting championship. The competitions are being held on 14-20 September in the territory of ski sports complex “Kazan” (Verkhneuslonsky region). New complex of trap shooting has been built here.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan has definite results in this sport and it is essential to reach another level. It is especially urgent on the threshold of summer Universiade-2013.

Chairman of regional department of Russian shooting union in Republic Tatarstan, chief coach of Tatarstan trap shooting team Sergey Demin reported on perspectives of developing shooting sport in republic.

“After building the second shooting complex and opening sport school of Olympic reserve on its basis Tatarstan has all premises to become one of federal centres for training Russian shooting teams and count on international shooting union as perspective area for holding training meetings and largest international competitions” - Sergey Demin said.
