Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan Power Industry to be sustainable and effective

On December 27, at the end of ceremony dedicated to the launching a new electrical power unit, a combined cycle plant with a capacity of 220 MW named after V.K.Shibanov at Kazan CHPP-2, Minnikhanov said, “It is the most up-to-date power unit. The electricity market is very competitive, and we need to meet the modern requirements”. “We have fallen in the field of updating the power engineering facilities and we have to work hard. We have projects for the further development, electrical power units in Nizhnekamsk, Zainsk and Elabuga are among them.

Summing up, Tatarstan President said: “Power industry is the foundation of Economy. If we are not competitive, there are no development perspectives. Tatarstan Power Industry is to be sustainable and effective”.

In addition, Tatarstan President expressed his gratitude to Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak for supporting Tatartsan Republic plans.
