Tatarstan President: Competitiveness of our republic depends on heads of our enterprises

On December 25, at a solemn ceremony of summarizing results of the contest “Manager of the year”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that authorities of the republic rely on heads of top Tatarstan enterprises in terms of economic development of the republic.
Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, deputies of Russian State Duma representing the Republic of Tatarstan, members of Tatarstan Government, heads of regional ministries and agencies, municipalities, heads of associations of employers and labour unions, representatives of religious confessions, heads of cultural and scientific organizations took part in the event.
Opening the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the contest has become a good New Year tradition and is held for the 14th time.
“Competitiveness of our republic and quality of life of Tatarstan citizens depends on your work,” Minnikhanov said addressing heads of companies.
The president noted that Tatarstan is one of leading regions in Russia, and by results of 2014, the GRP is expected to make 1.6 trillion roubles.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, implementation of major projects will be continued next year. He mentioned projects on modernization of production, and thanked executives of the biggest regional enterprises, - OAO “Tatneft”, OAO “TAIF”, and OAO “KAMAZ”, and Kazan helicopters. He also expressed his special gratitude to companies that took part in events within the framework of the Year of culture in Tatarstan.
Minnikhanov handed state awards to heads of some enterprises.
Later on, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin presented awards to 30 laureates of the contest.
Also, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev presented the 5th volume of the Book of benefactors and letters of gratitude of the Regional Foundation of the Revival of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan. Shaimiev thanked everyone, who took part in revival of historical and cultural heritage.
