39 000 first grade pupils will go to Tatarstan schools this academic year

Deputy Minister of education and science Airat Zinnurov informed about it at a briefing in the RT Cabinet devoted to preparing educational institutions for a new academic year. The briefing was held in a form of videoconference with participation of all municipal regions.

Representatives of mass media could ask questions by telephone (“hot line”) and via Internet (at official government portal of Republic Tatarstan www.prav.tatar.ru in section “feedback”).

This year it is planned to construct 8 new schools with 2172 places.

Airat Zinnurov stressed that in spite of crisis it was possible to allocate considerable funds for construction of schools and kindergartens in Tatarstan. Thus, the republic became a leader among regions according to a number of constructed educational objects.

On September 1, it is planned to open new schools in Kazan, Vysokaya Gora and Zainsk.

Airat Zinnurov also said that within a republican program of optimizing the network of comprehensive schools, transportation of pupils from rural areas to the main schools is being organized. For this purpose republic plans to purchase 98 school buses.
