On December 19, at a session of the Council under Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that success of civil-patriotic education depends on joint efforts of all concerned parties.

Opening the session, the Russian Presidential Envoy shared his impressions about the visit to the center of sports, patriotic and pre-army service training “Patriot” in Kazan and thanked leadership of the republic for a great presentation of the center.

Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mikhail Babich for holding the session in Kazan. He reminded that the republic has won the contest for the best training for military service in Russian Armed Forces 6 times, and actively supports initiatives on developing Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy. Also, a veteran’s movement that works with youth patriotic organizations has always effectively worked in the republic.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, centers of pre-army service training play an important role in patriotic education. Veteran’s organizations that are also involved in military-patriotic education should be supported by the public.

Moreover, youth patriotic movement is developing in Volga Federal District and is integrated in the state programme of patriotic education, he said.

Minnikhanov noted that educational organizations, especially Suvorov Military School and cadet schools are responsible for patriotic education. Promotion of patriotic work in social networks is an important tool of counteraction against external negative impact on young people.

Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Volga region is a place where many heroes of the country lived, worked, and protected their Motherland.
Governors of regions of the district, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Sergey Zaitsev, Head of Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Sergey Pospelov took part in the session.
