Tatarstan regional branch of «United Russia» political party starts 2015 election campaign

The 19th meeting of the Tatarstan regional political council of “United Russia” was held today. The key issue on the agenda was participation of the “United Russia” at the 2015 election campaigns. Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President's Administrative Office Asgat Safarov was appointed as head of the regional election headquarters. Chairman of Tatarstan State Council, Secretary of the regional branch of “United Russia” Farid Mukhametshin chaired the meeting.
Election of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the deputies to the 955 municipal councils will be held on September 13, 2015.

Municipal elections in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk will be held on a mixed electoral system, in other municipalities candidates will be selected by the majority system.

The meeting of the political council was held in the video conference format with participation of over 800 secretaries of primary branches from all over the country. Farid Mukhametshin noted that this convenient way of communication will be gradually integrated into the daily work, as it will help increase the efficiency of the workflow.
