On August 12, at a video conference briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Tatarstan First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Nikolay Titov reported that about 3.1 – 3.2 million tonnes of grain will be ground in Tatarstan this year. Issues related to the harvesting campaign and conservation of fodder for livestock were discussed at the briefing.
Nikolay Titov said that it is expected to compete harvesting of grain crops by September 5 instead of August 30 as it was planned earlier. This is because of rain in some municipal regions.
According to Nikolai Titov, the maximum grinding rate of 110,000 tonnes of grain per day will be reached in the coming days.
To the point, as of today, as much as 580,000 hectares or 37 per cent have been harvested, more than 1.3 million tonnes of grains have been ground, with the average yield making 22.5 centners per hectare.
