On May 16, issues to improve the investment climate in Russia and Tatarstan were discussed at a meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with delegation of the Club of Leaders on promoting business initiatives of Agency for Strategic Initiatives at Tatarstan Government House.
Welcoming the delegation of businessmen, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked them for their visit to Kazan. “Improving the investment climate is our common task. If there is an appeal for the business, it will develop. And we should make decisions that will be comfortable for the business,” Tatarstan President said.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, businessmen should have authority in the society and support of the public authorities.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the regional leadership has been actively cooperating with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives under all programmes related to the improvement of the investment climate.
Among problems that hinder the development of business in Russia Tatarstan President pointed out plenty of regulatory bodies, often too strong requirements for businessmen. Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, being the body chaired personally by Russian President, will successfully deal with these problems.
Chairman of the Club of Leaders Artem Avetisyan told Rustam Minnikhanov about the project “Test Purchases” that is being implemented by businessmen. The project presupposes “mystery” inspections of convenience and efficiency of the necessary control and registration procedures conducted by public authorities by entrepreneurs.
Reports on these "purchases" will be presented to the Russian President twice a year. Artem Avetisyan invited entrepreneurs from Tatarstan to participate in this project.
At the meeting, members of the delegation also suggested the regional leadership options for cooperation and initiatives to improve the investment attractiveness, invited representatives of Tatarstan to become members of various business delegations of the Club to study the experience of foreign countries to increase the investment attractiveness.
Rustam Minnikhanov supported initiatives and proposals and expressed his hope for their successful implementation.
