On April 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented state awards of Russia and Tatarstan to representatives of blue-collar occupations on the threshold of Labour Day at the Kazan Kremlin.
“Blue-collar worker is a special occupation, and I am glad to mark people working in the real sector, and doing real things. Today we are facing difficult economic situation that is also connected with events happening in Ukraine. But we are sure that we will realize all our plans on economic and social development,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He also noted that last year Tatarstan GRP volume made 1.5 trillion roubles.
“We should enhance our economic power. If we do not do this, we will not be able to realize our tasks on improving citizens’ quality of life. We are not satisfied with economic growth rates. New challenges connected with the current situation hinder fast economic growth. However, we see that projects implemented in the sphere of petrochemistry, oil processing, our special economic zone, give impetus to further development,” Tatarstan President continued.
Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated participants of the meeting on the coming holiday and presented state awards. “I would like to thank you for contribution to your enterprises, regional and national economy. Wherever you work, it is an important part of our republic,” he summarized.
