On April 2, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the first session of All-Russia meeting of heads of Civil Registry Offices in Russian regions started in Kazan.

The meeting is being held by Russian Ministry of Justice on April 2-3 in Kazan. Representatives of Russian Minister of Justice, heads of Civil Registry Offices in Russian regions are taking part in the event.

The meeting will focus on improving the activity in the sphere of civil registration, participation of Civil Registry Offices in interdepartmental information interaction, electronic civil registration, and performance of obligations of the Russian Federation with regard to discovery of civil registration documents.

The programme of the meeting includes the familiarization with the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan in informatization of Civil Registry Offices, implementation of the regional target programme “Electronic Tatarstan” in the regional civil registration system, interdepartmental interaction, and electronic civil registration.

Opening today’s session, Russian Deputy Minister of Justice Elena Borisenko noted that similar All-Russia meeting was already held in Saint Petersburg, adding that the purpose of such meetings is to study the best regional practices.

Speaking at the session, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov admitted that it is a pleasure for the regional leadership to host such an even in Kazan.

“We would like to share our experience and adopt best practices of our colleagues from Russian regions. There are many areas in Tatarstan, in which the republic strives to be an innovative leader,” Ildar Khalikov said.

Head of Tatarstan Government said that 160,000 acts of civil status were registered in Tatarstan in 2013, noting that Regional Civil Registry Offices are facing a task to develop automation systems.

He also added that 20 municipal Civil Registry Offices moved to new offices due to regional funding over the last five years. A lot of work is being done in Tatartsan to render electronic state services. Thus, Tatarstan provides 2.5 million electronic services every month. “This is not a tribute to fashion, but the way to make the life of regional citizens more comfortable and improve the efficiency of authorities, including Civil Registry Offices,” Ildar Khalikov said.

Ildar Khalikov wished participants of the meeting effective work in Kazan and invited them to visit the capital of the republic again.
