“Safety and Communication” forum opens in Kazan

On February 27 a solemn opening ceremony of the forum “Safety and Communication” was held at the exhibition centre in Kazan.

Organised by the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the forum is dedicated to public safety issues and will be held within three days.

The topical exhibitions such as “Safety”, “Communication”, “Labour security and safety” and III International research conference "Modern problems of life safety: present and future" will take place within the framework of the event.

Welcoming participants of the forum, Ildar Khalikov noted that such a large safety forum is being held in Kazan for the third time. The previous similar events took place on the threshold of Summer Universiade 2013, he continued.

“A lot of our friends and partners, who took an active part in ensuring safety during Universiade, are here today. Together with you we managed to hold the Games on the highest level. While preparing for the Games, we realised the importance of safety in all spheres of life,” Ildar Khalikov noted.

He stressed that the forum draw the attention of different companies from around the world.

“I hope that the forum will foster cooperation and partnership and encourage opportunities for providing new safety systems for Tatarstan citizens,” Ildar Khalikov summed up.

Yury Demidov expressed words of gratitude on behalf of the Russian Ministry of the Interior for providing a platform to hold such an important event.

To the point, more than 130 companies from 15 Russian regions and 13 countries will take part in the forum. They will present the newest achievements and cutting-edge solutions to ensure public safety.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Head of the Main Directorate for Ensuring Public Order and Coordinating Interaction with Executive Bodies of Russian Regions of the Ministry of the Interior Yury Demidov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Ensuring Road Safety of the Russian Ministry of the Interior, Vladimir Kuzin and other officials took part in the opening ceremony.
