Chief of Kazan inter-district nature-conservative prosecution, Oleg Daminov said: “Use of low-quality motor fuel and oil worsens the situation with harmful emissions in atmosphere”

Briefing on issues of low – quality motor fuel and oil used in Tatarstan was held in RT Cabinet. According to Oleg Daminov in 2008 harmful emissions in atmosphere only from auto transport reached 330 000 tones - 54,9 % of total volume of harmful emissions in the republic. The number of cars in republic increases annually. In 2007 the growth of cars among physical persons made up 78,5 thousand units. Last year the tendency was the same.

Oleg Daminov emphasized also that switch only of the half of transport vehicles to gas would decrease the number of harmful emissions in atmosphere by 14 000 tones.
