Rustam Minnikhanov meets Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin in Moscow

On 22 during his working trip to Moscow the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov had a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Marat Khusnullin, where they discussed issues of social and economic development of the republic, giving special attention to the pace of housing construction.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed that as of the beginning of September more than 2.8m square meters of housing have been commissioned in the republic, ranking it the third among regions of Russia. Multi-apartment housing construction shows a 43 per cent increase compared to the last year with approximately 1 million square meters completed, he said. In his turn Marat Khusnullin emphasized that the figures are good and it is important not to lower them now, especially for individual housing construction. 

The parties of the meeting also discussed issues of preparing for the heating season, and the Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted that it should proceed smoothly for people. 

“Tatarstan is my native region with strong investment and innovative capacity. It also hosts large international events, including the annual KazanForum. The organization is always top-notch! And I thank the team of the region for this. In the whole the republic is maintaining a solid pace. I am sure that Tatarstan will continue to be among those setting the benchmark for other constituent entities,” Marat Khusnullin said.
