Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates forestry workers with their professional holiday

On 19 September, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated forestry workers with their professional holiday which is celebrated in Russia on 20 September.

He said that currently 1.6m hectares of the area of the republic are covered with forests and the branch employs 2 500 people. Every year more than 22 million tree seedlings are planted and more than 4 thousand hectares of forests are recovered, the Rais of the republic said.

Rustam Minnikhanov separately noted work in forest fire protection, having said that thanks to operational work of all services there have been no serious wildfires in the republic in 2024-2026.

Having reminded about the festive event, where leading industry workers were honored, held in Saby region on 12 September, the Rais of the republic wished forestry workers prosperity and success in their noble work. Speaking about old stagers of the branch, he emphasized that their dedication to vocation is a decent example for young specialists.
