Rais of Tatarstan gives an errand to keep the voting process under continuous control

On 19 September, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that the elections of members of the Russian State Duma of IX convocation are going on in the republic and gave an errand to keep the election process under continuous control.

The voter turnout in the republic stood at 36.8% at the end of the first day of voting while the figure for Russia reached 29.6%, he said and stated that the priority task is to ensure the security and legitimacy of the voting. The Rais of the republic urged all voters to demonstrate their civic stance and to go to the polling stations and make their responsible choice.
