Rais of Tatarstan: In challenging times the youth of Tatarstan remains united and demonstrates an active outlook on life

On 18 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the regional Minister for youth Affairs Azat Kadyrov and the Minister of Education and Science of the republic Ilsur Khadiullin took part in events of the “Time of the Young” festival held as part on the Freshman Day of the republic and organized on the bank of the Kazanka River in Kazan.

The “Time of the Young” festival, which gathered about 40 thousand students from all over the republic, is the first multi format festival, the festive events of which are simultaneously held in nine cities of Tatarstan and, welcoming its participants, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the events of the Freshman Day are held in the republic. “It is one of the brightest periods in life of every person, the time of bold ideas, real friends and first big victories,” he said. 

“Many of you took part in the elections for the first time today, having voted for the fate of our great country, your native republic and your own future. It is gratifying that in challenging times the youth of Tatarstan remains united and demonstrates an active outlook on life. Your energy, talent and bold ideas are already shaping the foundation for the development of your native republic and great Russia. You can always count on our support,” Rustam Minnikhanov added.
