Sergey Tabelsky and Aleksey Pesoshin hands in awards to winners of All-Russian Archery Competition

On September 17, at Ak Bars Arena Stadium in Kazan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Sergey Tabelsky and Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin handed in awards to the winners and medalists of the 5th All-Russian Archery Competition “Russian Prosecutor General’s Cup

President of the Russian Archery Federation Zorigtо Mankhanov also took part in the awarding ceremony.

Today, awards were handed in to athletes competing in compound archery in the boys’ and girls’ categories (under 18) and the junior men’s and junior women’s categories (under 21) in both individual and team events.

Eight Russian Prosecutor General’s Cups were awarded to teams from St. Petersburg, the Republic of Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous region and Zabaykalsky Krai.

This year, the tournament has brought together around 600 archers from 48 regions of Russia. Athletes compete in recurve and compound archery at distances of 50, 60 and 70 meters in individual and team events with a total of 32 sets of medals being contested.

The final matches will continue at the stadium tomorrow, followed by the closing ceremony.

On September 14 the tournament opened with the participation of Prosecutor General of Russia Aleksander Gutsan and the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
