Rustam Minnikhanov opens Inclusion Center “Yardam” in Kazan

On 17 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a ceremony of opening the Inclusion Center “Yardam” (Help) for the blind and people with disabilities located in Serova Street in Kazan. It is the only such center in Russia providing a wide range of free services for people with visual impairments and musculoskeletal disorders.

Speaking at the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov noted the particular importance of the center for people in need of assistance and thanked everyone who took part in its construction. The imitator of the creation of the complex was Ilsur Metshin, and the Rais of the republic also thanked specialists from Tatarstan, Moscow and Turkey for their support.

He highly appreciated work of the Yardam Charity Fund and of the imam-hatyb of the Yardam Mosque Ildar Bayazitov, who help to address the issues of people with health conditions.

Rustam Minnikhanov also told that the republic carries out huge work within the regional and federal programmes and a boulevard next to the inclusive center has been landscaped and the renovation of the facades of 14 houses adjacent to the area is nearing completion. All these changes the appearance of the territory, he emphasized.

In his turn Ildar Bayazitov underlined that the Inclusion Center opens a new milestone in social serve work in the republic. “Among other things, such facilities contribute to the development of the surrounding areas and the district as the whole,” he said.

After the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the conditions created in the inclusion center and inspected results of the work carried out as part of the fourth phase of the boulevard’s improvement.
