Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Arkady Gostev

On 11 September at their meeting held with participation of the Head of the Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service for Tatarstan Eduard Khialeev and the Chief of the Staff of the Rais of the republic Asgat Safarov in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director of the Federal Penitentiary Service Arkady Gostev discussed a number of issues in strengthening cooperation between the republic and the service, touching upon matters of improvement of the penitentiary service, ensuring law and order in the facilities.

Arkady Gostev has come to Kazan to take part in the XI session of the Council of heads of penitentiary services of the CIS member-countries which will be held in Kazan on 11 September. In 2026 the Council is celebrating the 11th anniversary of its establishment and the platform is used to exchange advanced experience and to consider burning issues of inter-state penitentiary cooperation.
