Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a ceremony of opening Investment Forum in Dubai

On 7 September the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov came on a working trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he took part in a ceremony of opening the annual Investment Forum in Dubai. 

Speaking at the forum, the Rais of the republic expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of the UAE for openness for cooperation with regions of Russia.”Tatarstan is both a partner and a participant of the event since the moment of its establishment,” he reminded. 

This year the topic of the Forum is “Transformation of global prosperity: opening new horizons for investments in sustainable and inclusive future” and Rustam Minnikhanov told that today the republic is the first in the country in investment climate and the economy of the region is export-oriented, delivering goods from Tatarstan to more than 100 countries of the world. 

“We attach special attention to cooperation with the Middle East countries where we can see a substantial potential for joint projects in energy, agriculture and Halal products, high technologies and Islamic finances,” the Rais of the republic emphasized. 

He dwelt specifically on the partnership with the United Arab Emirates and informed that the share of the OIC countries in the foreign trade turnover of the republic has exceeded 50 per cent. Tatarstan works as a platform for attracting investment capital from the Middle East countries, he said and added that the republic is ready to share its experience. He invited all participants of the Forum to attend the stand of Tatarstan at the Forum exposition.
